Through the years we have seen thousands saved. We are an old-fashioned, Independent, Fundamental Baptist Church. The services at Grace Baptist Church consist of traditional, yet lively music, and powerful preaching. Our goal is to have an atmosphere conducive to the Holy Spirit where saints are drawn to rejoice and sinners are drawn to repent. We long to see people from every walk of life come through our doors. All who enter share a common need: Christ! Those who have been down difficult paths and those who seemingly have it “together” can both find a church where they are accepted and loved. We invite you to find out for yourself what Grace is about!
Bro. Jesse Bragg was born and raised near Hickory, NC. He was saved at the age of 16 on a Wednesday night at Liberty Baptist Church after he was, in his words, “dragged to church” by his uncle and aunt. He attended New Manna Christian School, and was called to preach only 7 months after being saved. After graduation, Bro. Jesse attended Victory Baptist College in North Augusta, SC under the leadership of R. Larry Brown. It was there that he met his wife, Kellie.
In 2012, he moved to Pickens, SC where he served as youth pastor under Bro. Danny Posey at Missionary Baptist Church. On December 7, 2013, he and Kellie married and moved to her hometown. The following February, they moved to help start Greater Hope Baptist Church in Dallas, GA with Bro. Lee Ridings and his family. In February 2016, Bro. Jesse was ordained and called to be the pastor of Harvest Baptist Church in Monroe, GA.
After some time getting to know the people of Grace Baptist Church and Pastor Ed Strickland, Bro. Jesse became the assistant pastor of Grace in 2017 and enjoyed working alongside them. In October 2020, the church called him as pastor and has seen growth and a fresh excitement. Grace is looking forward to great days ahead!
Bro. Jesse enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, Beau and Reese, traveling, fishing, hunting... and more hunting.
